Acclaimed writer for children and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the company commented: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the move was reached following an review of reports of questionable actions involving female individuals.
The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, noting: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.
He has published over four dozen titles combined, including a Christmas book titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
