On Monday, the tribunal was told communication data and information obtained from phones recorded Ms Wandelt consistently requesting Madeleine's mother for a DNA test during the past two years.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a vacation in Portugal - is among the most widely reported child disappearance cases and remains unresolved.

'I Don't Want Money'

Another phone message, presented in court, recorded Ms Wandelt declaring: "I understand I'm fat and not pretty like Madeleine had been, but I know what I know."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's voicemail said: "Suppose there is a small chance that I am she? What happens next? Is that not significant for you?"

"I do not need money, I possess a life here in Poland, I simply desire to know," she added.

The jury was told that through electronic messages, text messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a genetic test, transmitted childhood photos to her phone in a effort to demonstrate a resemblance to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and stated to have "memories" from a youth with the McCanns.

An intelligence analyst, a data specialist with the police force who collated the evidence, told the court there "seemed to lack any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also reached out to close associates of the McCanns, based on the phone records.

On that date, the father answered a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "incorrect contact information."

That day Ms Wandelt left a recording on Mrs McCann's answerphone saying "I won't give up and I plan to establish my point."

The court heard Mrs Spragg developed a connection via internet with Ms Wandelt prior to assisting her on a visit to the McCanns' residence in that area in last December.

Communication data showed Mrs Spragg had reached out through messaging service to Mrs McCann to say the press had depicted Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she should be taken seriously in the period preceding the visit to the village, Leicestershire, in last December.

The court learned message exchanges between the two individuals, in last November, considering endeavoring to get Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her garbage or from utensils at a restaurant.

"We have to take action," Mrs Spragg advised Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the trip to their home, the defendant transmitted a text which expressed: "We're currently sat near the McCanns' home with our lights out resembling investigators. I desired to achieve this with Peter Andrew I didn't imagine I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The case ongoing.
